Access management: Principle of 'least privilege'

The principle of least privilege (or principle of minimal privileges in French) is an IT security approach which consists of assigning as few privileges as possible to users and programs to access the resources of the computer or corporate network. This means that each user and each program only has access to the resources necessary to accomplish its task, and not to the entire system resources.

Single Sign-On

SSO (Single Sign-On) is an account management system that allows a user to access multiple applications or services with a single username and password. In other words, SSO simplifies account management by allowing a user to use a single set of credentials to access all applications and services to which they have access.

SSO is often used in businesses to facilitate user account management. For example, if an employee has access to multiple corporate applications and services, they can use SSO to authenticate to all of those services with a single username and password. SSO can also be used to manage a company's customer accounts, allowing them to access online services with a single account.
